Sanjeeda, Vatsal to feature in supernatural show

Mumbai: Actors Sanjeeda Sheikh and Vatsal Sheth, who were paired together in "Ek Hasina Thi", will reunite for Vikram Bhatt's supernatural show "Gehraiyaan". "Really happy to be sharing screen space with Sanjeeda again despite her leaving me paralysed in our last serial together. The audience can expect to see some chills and thrills lined up for Sanjeeda," Vatsal said in a statement. The urban thriller will be launched next month on Vuclip's OTT video on demand service Viu. Sanjeeda said: "Vatsal is someone who tries his best to scare me. There was a prank that he played on me two years back with a nimbu (lemon)... But I'm not going to let any of Vatsal's antics affect me this time. Jokes aside, I'm looking forward to playing the role of Reyna and learning about the paranormal. And, who better to initiate us into this world than the master - Vikram Bhatt himself?" "Gehraiyaan", directed by Sidhant Sachdev and co-produced by Viu, Bhatt and Culture Machine, is about a young urban couple whose relationship is challenged by the forces of the dark. "Call it horror, noir or thriller, 'Gehraiyaan' will not only explore supernatural elements, but will also explore human nature when it comes under threat. It is sure to keep the audience on the edge of their seats. Sanjeeda and Vatsal are immensely talented actors who have brought the script to life. The audience should expect the unexpected," said Bhatt, who has helmed horror movies like "Raaz Reboot" and "Haunted - 3D". "Gehraiyaan", penned by Bhatt, will be part of the ‘Viu Originals' line-up for the year. It will also include Bhatt's other show which has a working title "Spotlight", starring Tridha Choudhury. It will be based on the life of a reigning Bollywood superstar.
