Salman Khan’s Massive Pay For Bigg Boss 19 Revealed—You Won’t Believe The Number!

As anticipation builds around the 19th season of 'Bigg Boss', fresh details have surfaced regarding the show's scale and Salman Khan’s staggering paycheck for his latest stint as host.

As anticipation builds around the 19th season of 'Bigg Boss', fresh details have surfaced regarding the show's scale and Salman Khan’s staggering paycheck for his latest stint as host. Scheduled to launch on August 30, this season promises to be its lengthiest ever, spanning five months, with the first phase anchored by Salman himself.

Salman Khan's fees for Bigg Boss 19

According to Screen, Salman Khan is expected to earn between ₹120 crore and ₹150 crore for his 15-week run on 'Bigg Boss 19', with an estimated payout of ₹8 to ₹10 crore per weekend.

“Since the show will have a primary presence on OTT, with same-day television telecasts, the makers are treating it as an extension of the digital format,” SCREEN quoted its source as saying. Interestingly, the production budget this time is relatively modest compared to earlier editions.

Salman had reportedly pocketed ₹96 crore for hosting 'Bigg Boss OTT 2'. His remuneration climbed to ₹200 crore and ₹250 crore for seasons 17 and 18, respectively, both traditional TV seasons. With 'Bigg Boss 19' positioned as a hybrid between OTT and TV, and considering the presence of additional hosts later in the season, his current pay scale sits somewhere between his OTT and television earnings.

All about Bigg Boss 19

This time, 'Bigg Boss 19' will be a digital-first venture, with fresh episodes premiering on JioCinema before being aired on Colors TV about 90 minutes later. The showrunners are also contemplating a new tagline that better aligns with its OTT identity. According to the Bigg Boss Taza Khabar social media handle, Salman filmed the season promo on July 21, from 2 PM till midnight. The promo is reportedly themed around politics.

The upcoming season will run for five months. Salman Khan will take charge for the first three months, following which the reins will be handed over to a mix of celebrity guest hosts. Names such as Karan Johar, Anil Kapoor, and Farah Khan are said to be in consideration for the final leg of the season.

Bigg Boss 19 expected contestants

While the final contestant list is still under wraps, around 20 potential housemates are rumoured to be in the pipeline. Those reportedly approached include actors Gautami Kapoor, Dheeraj Dhoopar, Alisha Panwar, Khushi Dubey, and Gaurav Khanna; influencers like Gaurav Taneja (Flying Beast), Mr Faisu, Apoorva Mukhija, and Purav Jha; along with Dhanashree Verma, Arshifa Khan, Mickey Makeover, and singer Sriram Chandra.
