‘Naagin’ actress Aashka Goradia to RETURN to TV with ‘Daayan’

New Delhi: Popular TV actress Aashka Goradia, who played the role of Avantika Maheshmati in ‘Naagin’ and ‘Naagin 2’, has been missing from the small screens for quite some time now. The beautiful actress participated in ‘Nach Baliye 8’ along with her husband Brent Goble. Aaska is all set to make a comeback to the fiction genre with Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Daayan’. (Aashka and Adaa in a still from Naagin) The ‘Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap’ actress will play an pivotal role in the supernatural show which airs on &TV. According to a report in an entertainment portal, the new track of ‘Daayan’ will focus on the back story of Aakarsh, who is a Daayan. (Tina Datta in a still from Daayan) “The upcoming story of the show will focus on the past story. 500 years old story will be shown wherein Akarsh (Mohit Malhotra) was the king. Aashka will be part of the past story wherein she will play the queen,” a source told IWMBuzz. ‘Daayan’, which stars Mohit Malhotra and Tina Datta, was recently in news after Tina accused Mohit of sexual misconduct. Talking about Aashka, the actress has been part of several TV shows like ‘Kkusum', 'Baal Veer' and 'Laagi Tujhse Lagan'. The Gujarati beauty, who tied the knot with Brent in 2017, also participated in Bigg Boss 6. Watch this space for more updates!
