New Delhi: Television actress Devoleena Bhattacharjee surprised everyone when she announced her marriage with beau Shanawaz Shaikh. She got married in a small and intimate wedding. Many social media users claimed that Devoleena got married in a hush hush way because she is pregnant. Devoleena has now responded to the trolls and said that trolls can’t see anyone happy. 

In a conversation with ETimes, the actress said, “I don't need to justify anything to anyone, but there are people around who think that I'm pregnant and hence I got married all of a sudden. I'm shocked and feel sad for people who make such poor comments. This is another level of hypocrisy that you can't let go of any single opportunity to torture someone. They can't see anyone happy. It's frustrating at times. Why does one need to poke so much into someone's life? But later I laughed at these comments and let go. I seriously don't know what is coming next." 

Devoleena, who was brutally trolled for her wedding decision, had earlier spoken about it in a conversation with Times of India. “The problem is no matter whom you marry, you will be trolled. If you marry a rich guy, you will be called a gold digger, you marry a good-looking guy, they will tell you that it’s not a great match, you marry someone who has a heart of gold but is average looking, they will say,’ Devo, kya match dhoondha?’ Ye log doosre ki khushi bardaasht hi nahi kar sakte,” she was quoted as saying by Times of India. 

She also added, “Trolling amounts to harassment and can have an adverse effect on a marriage. Had it not been for my husband stopping me from replying to these trolls, I would have given it back in my own style to everyone on social media.” 

Devoleena and Shahnwaz got married in a private ceremony last week. Devoleena chose a court marriage, and after that, the couple had an intimate reception. The wedding included Devoleena's mother and a few of her close friends like Vishal Singh and Bhavini Purohit. 

She announced it on her Instagram account and wrote “Chiraag lekar bhi dhoondti toh tujh jaisa nahi milta (I couldn’t have found someone better than him). You are the answer of my pain & prayers. THE MYSTERIOUS MAN urff The Famous #SHONU AND TUM SAB K JIJA. (Here’s presenting your brother-in-law)," she wrote alongside their pictures from the celebrations.
