Reportedly, the Anti-Extortion Cell (AEC) of the Mumbai crime branch arrested controversial 'Bigg Boss 11' contestant Zubair Khan, on Thursday, for allegedly trying to extort Rs 1 crore from a 31-year-old businesswoman in the name of underworld gangster Dawood Ibrahim. The complainant was being threatened on the phone and being asked to give the huge amount.

According to a portal, Police arrested Khan after they found that he was constantly in touch with one of the earlier accused. On tracking his call records, they found that he had also received several calls from Pakistan and Dubai at the same time the complainant had received the threat calls.

The DNA report further states that, "Khan was produced in the court on Friday from where he has been remanded in police custody till Monday (February 26)."

Coming back to 'Bigg Boss 11', Zubair Khan got evicted in the first week itself after host Salman Khan bashed him over his misbehavior with fellow contestants[READ HERE...]. Later, he even took legal action against Salman Khan alleging, the superstar threatened him[READ HERE...]. During his stay, Zubair had claimed that he is Dawood Ibrahim's sister Haseena Parkar's son-in-law. But, later it has revealed that he was faking to be a relative of Dawood.
