Nayanthara faces legal trouble
Reports suggest that the makers of ‘Chandramukhi’ have issued a legal notice to both Nayanthara and Netflix, alleging unauthorized use of the film’s footage in her wedding documentary ‘Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale’. The notice demands Rs 5 crore in compensation. Nayanthara has yet to respond to the claims.

Actor Chitra Lakshmanan, known for his YouTube channel sharing exclusive cinema news, has disclosed that the makers of ‘Chandramukhi’ are upset about the inclusion of certain scenes from the film in Nayanthara's wedding documentary. They allege that these clips were used without proper authorisation and have pursued legal action.
About Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale
‘Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale’ has faced legal challenges before. Earlier, Dhanush, the producer of ‘Naanum Rowdy Dhaan’, filed a petition against Nayanthara and Netflix for using footage from his film without permission. Nayanthara responded publicly, dismissing Dhanush's claims with a pointed social media post that captured attention from fans of both South Indian stars.
On the work front, Nayanthara’s standout performance as ‘Durga’ in the 2005 Tamil classic, alongside Rajinikanth and Jyotika, was instrumental in solidifying her as one of Tamil cinema's top actresses.
