Seema Sajdeh Opens Up About Her Divorce With Sohail Khan

Sohail Khan and Seema Sajdeh filed for divorce earlier this year, ending their marriage of 24 years. Seema, who dropped Khan from her surname after filing for divorce, recently opened up about her separation and her life after that.

New Delhi: Sohail Khan and Seema Sajdeh filed for divorce earlier this year, ending their marriage of 24 years. They were living separately for quite some time now. Seema, who dropped Khan from her surname after filing for divorce, recently opened up about her separation and her life after that. 

In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Seema said she chose to deal with her separation from actor Sohail Khan by not “wallowing” in pain.  “The thing is, if I were to wallow and it’s a deep dark hole that you can quickly spiral into. So I choose to be on the other side. For me, this is what keeps me going. So even for the kids, for the family members, my brother or my sister. It’s not nice to see your sister wallowing or your daughter or you know… then you’re constantly stressed about that person and whatever. So it’s for them to see that I am looking at my life completely from the positive angle. I’ve let go of any negativity or anything I might have. Also, I think I have reached a point where I don’t care anymore. As long as, these people know who I am, this is my family, my parents and my kids and my siblings… The people around me know who I am and I am going to stay true to myself and quite frankly, I have zero filter,” the fashion designer told Bollywood Bubble. 

The couple got married in 1998 and have two children together.  

The rumours of their separation started from the show ‘The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives‘ where the couple was shown as living separately and their kids were shuttling between the two houses. 

Seema had spoken about her marriage on the show and had called it unconventional. "It's just that sometimes when you grow older, your relationships meanders and goes into different directions. I make no apologies about it because we are happy and my kids are happy. Sohail and I are not a conventional marriage but we are a family. We are a unit. For us, him and me and our children matter at the end of the day," Seema said on the show. 

Seema had also revealed her love story on the show, they had met on the set of ‘Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya’ and eloped to get married. 

"I was a SOBO girl who got married to this man from Bollywood. We had quite this whirlwind, mad, romantic kind of wedding because I eloped with him in the middle of the night. I met him when I was very young, and I also had Nirvan when I was very young," Seema revealed on the show.
