Release Date Of Anurag Kashyap, Taapsee Pannu's 'Dobaaraa' Announced
Taapsee Pannu is collaborating with Anurag Kashyap for the third time in ‘Dobaaraa’. The movie, touted as a new-age thriller, has got its release date & also stars her ‘Thappad’ co-star Pavil Gulati.
Taapsee Pannu is collaborating with Anurag Kashyap for the third time in ‘Dobaaraa’. The movie, touted as a new-age thriller, has finally got its release date. ‘Dobaaraa’ is scheduled to be released in theatres on August 19.‘Dobaaraa’ also stars her ‘Thappad’ co-star Pavil Gulati and is jointly produced by Ekta Kapoor's Cult Movies, a new division under her Balaji Telefilms banner, and Sunir Khetarpal's ATHENA.
Before its theatrical release, the film will be screened at the London Indian Film Festival on June 23. The festivals organisers shared the update on their Instagram page. The caption to their post read, "The highly anticipated DOBAARAA, directed by @anuragkashyap10 and starring award winning actress @taapsee is being premiered at the #LIFF2022 and is a testament of its new-age, cutting edge narrative being wholly loved and applauded all over the world. DOBAARAA is produced by Shobha Kapoor & Ektaa R Kapoor (Cult Movies, under Balaji Telefilms) and Sunir Kheterpal & Gaurav Bose (Athena). This is the first film under Cult Movies, a wing of @balajitelefilmslimited, and a new film-division which is set to tell compelling, edgy & genre-bending stories. (sic).
Taapsee Pannu has always worked on content-driven films from Pink to Thappad to Manmarziyaan. She is becoming the filmmakers’ first choice and will be seen in much-awaited films like Dumki opposite Shahrukh Khan, Shabaash Mithu, and more. She will also be seen in her first production venture Blurr. The movie is the Bollywood remake of the Spanish film Julia's Eyes and will also star Gulshan Devaiah in the lead.
