Raveena Tandon Recalls About A Stalker: 'He Would Send Me Vials Of Blood Through Courier'

In an interview, Raveena Tandon revealed how one fan was convinced she was married to him and wrote letters to her in blood and another person threw rocks at her husband’s car.

New Delhi: Virat Kohli’s recent breach of privacy has been criticised by celebrities and fans alike. Many celebs have also spoken about incidents when they had to face similar situations. Bollywood actor Raveena Tandon has also recalled stalker incidents that forced her to call the police.

While talking to ETimes, Raveena Tandon revealed how one fan was convinced she was married to him and wrote letters to her in blood and another person threw rocks at her husband’s car.  “There was this fan from Goa who was convinced that he was married to me! He would send me vials of blood through courier, he would send letters written in blood, and obscene photographs. He was absolutely sure that he was married to me and my kids were actually his kids. It was really crazy and scary. And then there was another person who had landed up on my gate. He would just sit outside my house. Once when my husband Anil (Thadani) was leaving in his car, a big stone was thrown at him! These are two incidents when I had a close call with fans. We had to call the cops because I was scared for Anil’s safety,” she told ETimes.

Earlier, a video posted by a fan had gone viral where someone was taking a tour of cricketer Virat Kohli’s hotel room in Perth when he was not there.

Virat took to social media and expressed his displeasure with this invasion of privacy. He shared the video and wrote, "I understand that fans get very happy and excited seeing their favourite players and get excited to meet them and I’ve always appreciated that. But this video here is appalling and it’s made me feel very paranoid about my privacy. If I cannot have privacy in my own hotel room, then where can I really expect any personal space at all?? I’m NOT okay with this kind of fanaticism and absolute invasion of privacy. Please respect people’s privacy and not treat them as a commodity for entertainment.”

Anushka had also reacted to the incident and had written on Instagram, “Have experienced a few incidents where some fans have shown no compassion or grace in the past but this really is the worst thing. An absolute disgrace and violation of a human being and anyone who sees this and thinks celebrity ho toh deal Karna padega should know that you are also part of the problem. Exercising some self control helps everyone. Also, if this is happening in your bedroom then where is the line?”
