Priyanka Chopra Sets Up Fundraiser For India Amid Second Wave Of COVID-19 Pandemic

Priyanka Chopra is also one of the celebrities who have stepped forward to help India in this crisis. The ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ actress has set up a fundraiser for providing COVID-19 relief.

New Delhi: People from all across the globe are extending their helping hand to India as the country hit the second wave of COVID-19. Every day the condition is worsening and positive cases are increasing. Hospitals are running out of bed and oxygen supplies in this tough situation. Many celebrities have come forward to help the people of the country in need.

Global icon Priyanka Chopra is also one of the celebrities who have stepped forward to help India in this crisis. The ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ actress has set up a fundraiser for providing COVID-19 relief.

Priyanka shared a note on her Twitter requesting people to donate to the country. The note read, “India, my home, is suffering the world’s worst Covid crisis, and we all need to help! People are dying in record numbers. There is illness everywhere, and it’s only continuing to spread and kill at great speed and scale.” shared the actress and revealed that the fundraiser she has set up will directly benefit the healthcare physical infrastructure which includes Covid care centres, isolation centers, oxygen generation plants, medical equipment and vaccine support.

PeeCee further revealed in her note that the fundraiser will benefit the healthcare physical infrastructure which includes Covid care centres, isolation centres, oxygen generation plants, vaccine support and mobilisation. She also disclosed that she along with her husband Nick Jonas have already donated and will continue doing so. “Nick and I already have and will continue to contribute. “We have all seen how far and wide this virus can spread, an ocean between us makes no difference. No one is safe unless everyone is safe. It’s so heartening to see so many people stepping up to help in so many ways. We need to beat this virus, and to do that requires ALL of us. From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU!”
