‘Sameer Who?’: Pooja Bhatt And Other Celebs React As Aryan Khan Gets Clean Chit

As Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan got clean chit in the Cordelia cruise drugs celebrities like Pooja Bhatt, Ram Gopal Varma and others took to Twitter to slam the anti-drug agency for their probe.

The NCB has given a clean chit to actor Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan in the Cordelia cruise drugs case and has not named him in its chargesheet. He was arrested by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in October 2021 and was in judicial custody for 26 days.

In a statement, the NCB said the agency could not find sufficient evidence against Aryan Khan and the five others, PTI reported. The anti-drugs agency has filed a 6,000-page chargesheet, naming 14 accused.

Aryan Khan's lawyer Satish Maneshinde released a statement.

The statement read, “The Arrest and Detention of Aryan Khan for 26 days was unjustified more particularly when he was not found in possession of any drugs, there was no evidence of any kind, there was no material of any nature of the violation of any law much less the NDPS Act. We are happy that the Special Investigation Team under Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh investigated the case in an objective manner and decided not to file a complaint against Aryan Khan for Lack of Sufficient Evidence. God is Great. Satya Meva Jayate. Satish Maneshinde Adv.”

As Aryan got clean chit celebrities like Pooja Bhatt, Ram Gopal Varma and others took to Twitter to slam the anti-drug agency for their probe.

Pooja Bhatt named Sameer [Wankhede], who led the initial probe in the Cordelia cruise drugs case, and posted tweets.

"Sameer who? Er sorry, where? Ah! Probably very busy being a righteous, publicity shy officer elsewhere? So much of a mess to clean up after all. And who better than the least corrupt of them all to cure society of all evil & rot. Except this time,no selfies allowed. #truthprevails (sic)," she wrote.

Her second tweet was: "Tough times don’t last. Tough people do. Time heals all wounds. Time also wounds all heels (sic)."

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma also tweeted about the inefficiency of various agencies. "The only good thing which came about in #AryanKhan case is him being a celebrity @iamsrk ‘s son , it helped in vastly exposing the inefficiency and recklessness of various agencies subjecting innocent people to harassment which otherwise the common people can’t and won’t know of," he tweeted.

Atul Kasbekar also took to Twitter and targeted a section of media for their coverage on the case.  "Now that there’s a complete clean chit for #AryanKhan by all the concerned govt agencies… I don’t suppose there’s an apology or some introspection forthcoming from all the media channels that were crucifying the kid in this flimsy case? Too much to expect some good grace," he tweeted.
