New Delhi: Kartik Aaryan is one of the most sought-after actors after the success of his film 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2'. The actor has multiple projects lined up with big production houses and filmmakers. The actor is enjoying his success which has come with its share of struggles.

Though Kartik Aryan made a successful debut with Pyaar ka Punchnama in the year 2011, he didn’t get good movie offers. Kartik worked with Luv Ranjan again on ‘Pyaar ka Punchnama 2’ which was a hit. It was only after 'Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety' in 2018, that Kartik started getting recognition and also good movie offers.

In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Kartik said that despite doing hit movies and working in the industry for six to seven years, people continued to refer to him as “the monologue guy.”

“There were times when I didn’t get the proper results for it like earlier, when my film became a hit, people could not recognize me even then and did not know my name. So, they used to call me ‘monologue wala ladka or guy.’ They did not know my name for around 6-7 years, when I was already doing films. In fact, there were hit films too,” Kartik told Bollywood Hungama.

He further added, “Then I used to wonder why is this happening. I am still not coming in the directors’ lists as in ‘I want to do film with this guy.’ So, I used to get such moments a lot but I think I have learnt through those moments and times. And now, things are sorted thankfully and things are happening.”

Kartik is currently shooting for Rohit Dhawan’s film Shehzada with Kriti Sanon. The film is the Hindi remake of the Telugu film 'Ala Vaikunthapuramuloo'. Kartik Aaryan has also bagged a project with Sajid Nadiadwala and director Kabir Khan. Though the details of the project have been kept under the wraps, it is said to be a massive entertainer on large-scale production and based on a true story, something that the audience would have never witnessed before.
