'M.S. Dhoni...' mints Rs 41 crore in two days in India

Mumbai: Filmmaker Neeraj Pandey's directorial "M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story" collected Rs 41.9 crore in two days in India. According to a statement, issued on behalf of the makers of the Sushant Singh Rajput-starrer, "M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story" collected Rs 20.6 crore on Saturday taking the two-day collection to Rs 41.9 crore. The biopic on Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni has also been made tax-free in Uttar Pradesh. Produced by Fox Star Studios and Arun Pandey of Inspired Entertainment, the film also features Kiara Advani, Disha Patani and Anupam Kher in pivotal roles. "We thank India for this overwhelming love for the biopic on Mahendra Singh Dhoni's life. He is the son of the soil and it's absolutely amazing to see that we have lived up to the expectations of the cricket fans, his fans and the movie going audience," Vijay Singh, CEO, Fox star studios, said in a statement. Arun, producer and chairman of Inspired Entertainment, has thanked the country for supporting the film. "We can only say 'Thank You, India'. We have tried to do justice to your love for Mahi," Arun added.
