Bhagam Bhag 2 Confirmed: Producers Promise More Entertainment In Akshay Kumar, Govinda Starrer
'Bhagam Bhag 2' is officially in the works and the makers are thrilled to deliver the sequel after 18 years.
New Delhi: The creators of the 2006 comedy Bhagam Bhag have confirmed that production of the sequel is underway. The 2006 original Bhagam Bhag, which starred Akshay Kumar, Govinda, and Paresh Rawal, was a nonstop source of entertainment and the sequel is expected to maintain the same amount of excitement for viewers after 18 years.
The announcement follows Sarita Ashwin Varde of Roaring River Productions purchasing the sequel's rights from Shemaroo Entertainment. According to a report by India Today, alongside Shemaroo, Sarita will produce ‘Bhagam Bhag 2’, and she is also working on the film’s script as well.
Sarita gave an explanation for the long wait, stating, "Because a special film like Bhagam Bhag deserves a sequel that’s just as special, when the time was right, we decided to take the plunge."
Shemaroo Entertainment CEO Hiren Gada said he was thrilled about the project, saying, "We are excited to partner with an incredible team to create a film that will continue the legacy of its predecessor by bringing more laughter, fun and entertainment."
‘Bhagam Bhag 2’ is set to begin production in mid-2025. Fans are eagerly awaiting the return of Akshay Kumar, Govinda, and Paresh Rawal, the original cast members, for the sequel, even though the director has not been announced yet.

About ‘Bhagam Bhag'
The ensemble cast of the 2006 movie Bhagam Bhag was outstanding and included Manoj Joshi, Jackie Shroff, Lara Dutta, Rajpal Yadav, and Arbaaz Khan along with Akshay Kumar, Govinda, and Paresh Rawal. The movie, which was produced by Sunil Shetty and Dhilin Mehta and directed by Priyadarshan, debuted in theatres on December 21, 2006.
Producers have only promised that the sequel would be even more “madder, crazier, and funnier. The devoted followers of the cult classic film 'Bhagam Bhag' will be pleased to hear this news.
