A video of Arijit Singh's father video calling him when he was on stage with Laapataa Ladies' ‘Sajni Re’ went viral. He didn't just turn a blind eye to the call; he answered it while keeping his song perfectly in time, winning over the crowd even more.

Arijit further enhanced the significance of the event by turning the phone screen towards the spectators and playfully declaring, "My dad's on video call." A father's call is always worth responding, regardless of one's fame, and the video went viral with admirers applauding his humble personality and lack of flash.

Arijit Singh's music tour of India started in Bengaluru on November 30, 2007, the first stop on the trip. He is scheduled to appear in Cuttack on March 2, Pune on March 16, Mumbai on March 23, Indore on April 5, and finally Chennai on April 27. He has already had great shows in Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Gurugram, and Chandigarh.
