Delhi CM Oath-Taking: The oath ceremony was scheduled to be held at 4.30 pm on February 20 (Thursday) with the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers expected to take oath at Ramlila Maidan.

A day after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) announced the date of the swearing-in of the next Chief Minister in Delhi, the ruling party has changed the schedule for oath-taking.

The oath ceremony was scheduled to be held at 4.30 pm on February 20 (Thursday) with the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers expected to take oath at Ramlila Maidan. However, the ceremony will be held at 11 am on February 20 at the city's Ramlila Maidan, sources have said.

The BJP has so far not announced the Chief Minister for Delhi days after a landslide victory in the assembly polls. The BJP has called its legislative party meeting at 3:30 pm on Wednesday, where the party is set to name the next Chief Minister.

AAP Takes Dig At BJP

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has taken a dig at the BJP over the delay in naming a Chief Minister for Delhi. AAP leader Gopal Rai said, "For the first time in India's history, the wedding procession is ready, the wedding venue is set, but BJP still hasn't decided who the groom will be."

"BJP is doing everything except announcing its Chief Minister. The party hasn't even held its legislative meeting yet. This is BJP, and in the next five years, it will set more such records. They are making a failed attempt to hide their internal conflicts. Instead of delaying, BJP should fulfill the promises it made to the people of Delhi," he added.
