Adani Foundation To Set Up 20 Schools In Next Three Years In Collaboration With GEMS Education

The partnership will aim to create world class research institutions focusing on developing teaching competencies, the organisation said.

Adani Foundation collaborated with GEMS Education to establish schools across the country. The foundation said that with a donation of Rs 2,000 crore from the Adani family, both entities will focus on making education and learning infrastructure affordable for all sections of the society.

The Adani Foundation is the CSR arm of the Adani Group. The organisation is planning to open these schools across metropolitan cities and Tier II to IV cities. The partnership will aim to create world class research institutions focusing on developing teaching competencies, the organisation said.

The first ‘Adani GEMS School of Excellence’ will be established in Lucknow in the 2025-26 academic year, the foundation revealed. Over the course of the next three years, at least 20 such schools will be opened in the K-12 segment across primary metropolitan cities, and later on, in Tier II to IV cities, it added.

“In these schools, 30 per cent seats in CBSE curriculum will be free for under-served and deserving children. Leveraging the Adani Group’s pan-Indian presence and extensive infrastructure capabilities and also GEMS’ educational expertise, the partnership plans to develop a scalable, affordable, and sustainable model for quality education for students across India,” the organisation said.

Elaborating on the initiative, Gautam Adani, Chairman, Adani Group, said, “This initiative reflects our commitment to making world-class education affordable  and widely accessible. By adopting global best practices and innovative digital learning through our partnership with GEMS Education, we aim to equip the next generation of change-makers to become socially responsible leaders in India.”
