Braj Holi 2025: The festival of Holi is celebrated with great enthusiasm across India, but Braj's Rangotsav is unique with Lathmar Holi, Laddoo Holi, and the vibrant play of colours.

Braj Holi 2025: Braj's Holi is famous worldwide. Unlike the usual one or two-day celebrations, Braj's Rangotsav lasts for 40 days, beginning on Vasant Panchami. Here, Holi is played not just with colors but also with flowers, laddoos, and even the famous Lathmar Holi.  

The celebrations start on Vasant Panchami in Braj, which includes Mathura, Vrindavan, Barsana, and Gokul—the land where Lord Krishna and Radha Rani spent their lives. Devotees play Holi with Radha Rani and Banke Bihari, immersing themselves in devotion.

Braj Rangotsav 2025 Schedule

  • February 3, 2025: Holi Danda was installed at Ladli Ji Temple in Barsana on the occasion of Vasant Panchami.
  • February 28, 2025: Rangotsav will be celebrated at Shri Radharani Temple in Barsana.
  • March 7, 2025: Laddoo Holi will be celebrated at Radharani Temple. In Nandgaon, the Phag Invitation Festival will take place, where invitations are sent to the Sakhas to play Holi.
  • March 8, 2025: Lathmar Holi will be celebrated in Barsana.
  • March 10, 2025: Holi will be celebrated at Banke Bihari Temple and Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi on the occasion of Rangbhari Ekadashi.
  • March 10, 2025: Phoolon ki Holi and Chadi Mar Holi will be celebrated at Banke Bihari Temple.
  • March 11, 2025: Holi will be celebrated at Dwarkadhish Temple and Ramanreti Temple in Gokul.
  • March 13, 2025: Holika Dahan will take place.
  • March 14, 2025: Rangon ki Holi will be celebrated across Braj.
  • March 15, 2025: Dauji Huranga will be celebrated in Baldev.
  • March 16, 2025: Huranga will be celebrated in Nandgaon.
  • March 21, 2025: Rang Panchami will be celebrated.
  • March 22, 2025: Huranga will be celebrated at Rangnath Ji Temple in Vrindavan.

Lathmar Holi – The Lathmar Holi of Barsana is famous worldwide. Before playing Rangon ki Holi, the women here play Lathmar Holi. In the Dwapar Yuga, Lord Krishna started the tradition of Lathmar Holi with his friends, playing with Radha and her friends, and this tradition continues to this day.
