Driving A Tesla In India: How Is The Driving Experience?

The interiors for example are built around a vast touchscreen which is lovely to use while being stuffed with functions you never expected earlier.

Having driven quite a few cars, the driving experience of a Tesla is completely different and not just the drive but the entire experience is the opposite compared to conventional luxury cars! Tesla seems to be finally coming to India and it brings to my mind, the beguiling driving experience that you get.

The interiors for example are built around a vast touchscreen which is lovely to use while being stuffed with functions you never expected earlier. The panoramic windscreen of the Model X that I drove also had a different experience as well. There isn't even a conventional key!

The Model X if it comes would be a full import and is one of the more popular models while being one of the most expensive models in their range. Performance is shocking despite the size, especially with the electric motors putting up a lot of speed and that is the key that Tesla brings in terms of performance which you normally get from a supercar.

Plus compared to other EVs, the range is higher and that is also a key element. While the interior and tech levels are higher, it is different from other cars and that I guess draws buyers in. The big Model X feels smaller behind the wheel and faster with tricks like the Falcon doors.

For India, we expect the Model 3 and the Model Y to come first though, competing with EVs from Mercedes-Benz, BYD, BMW and others. Compared to others, the design is minimalist and futuristic while the same can be termed regarding the interior. The performance and range is ample too.

The Model 3 and Y are some of the best selling cars in the world and hugely popular across key markets while in India the big question would be the price but looking at the brand and the performance, Tesla can upset the EV space here even with premium products.
