Tuesday Rituals: What To Avoid On Tuesdays And The Connection With Lord Hanuman Explained

Tuesday Puja Rituals: Devotees who worship Lord Hanuman with devotion on Tuesdays have their troubles removed. However, there are certain tasks that are forbidden on this day.

Tuesday Puja Rituals: In Hinduism, each day of the week is dedicated to a particular deity. Tuesday is associated with Lord Hanuman, the devoted servant of Lord Ram. It is believed that worshipping Bajrangbali on Tuesdays brings success and removes obstacles in one's life. Worshipping Hanuman on this day is said to bring blessings and peace, especially when facing difficulties.

However, the scriptures also mention certain actions that, if done on a Tuesday, may upset Lord Hanuman. Therefore, it is important to avoid these specific tasks on Tuesdays to maintain his blessings. Renowned astrologer Anish Vyas explains which activities should be avoided on Tuesdays and why doing them could displease Lord Hanuman.

Doing These Things On Tuesday Could Be Beneficial

  • Avoid Wearing Black Clothes: Lord Hanuman does not favour the colour black, and in Hinduism, black clothes are considered inauspicious. On Tuesday, it is best to avoid wearing black and instead choose colours like red or orange, which are dear to Lord Hanuman. Additionally, girls and married women should avoid purchasing beauty products on Tuesdays.

  • Practice Brahmacharya: Lord Hanuman is considered a Brahmachari (celibate) and is often called 'Bal Brahmachari' due to his discipline, purity, and self-control in life. If you're observing a fast or worshipping Bajrangbali on Tuesday, it's important to maintain Brahmacharya and refrain from romantic or physical relations on this day.

  • Avoid These Offerings: When offering bhog to Lord Hanuman on Tuesday, avoid offering sweets made from milk, as it may displease him. Instead, offer him boondi or besan laddus, which are his favourites.

  • Stay Away From Meat And Alcohol: If you are a devotee of Lord Hanuman, it is important to avoid consuming meat. Especially on Tuesdays, refrain from eating meat or drinking alcohol. Instead, maintain a sattvic (pure) lifestyle on this day.

Additionally, on Tuesdays, avoid cutting hair or shaving, trimming nails, eating salty food, engaging in financial transactions involving debt, and traveling in the west, north, or northwest directions. If you follow these guidelines every Tuesday, Lord Hanuman will bless you with well-being.
