The criminals are presently holed up in a house. The police have surrounded the house and the entire area. They have asked the criminals to surrender.

Videos of the incident are being widely shared online. Police personnel can be seen wearing bulletproof vests and other combat gear during the operation. Police teams from several police stations have been deployed at the spot. Senior officers, including Patna SSP, are also present on the spot along with a Special Task Force team of the Bihar Police.

Police said that four people have been detained and being interrogated. Meanwhile, the cops are also scanning the CCTV footages.

"We received information of firing this afternoon on the Ramlakhan Road, following which the local police from nearby police stations cordoned the area and searched the building. STF team also reached here, and this building and nearby buildings were sanitised. Four people have been detained and are being questioned, CCTV footages are also being scanned," Patna SSP Avkash Kumar said.
