Into The Wild with Bear Grylls: Akshay Kumar also got candid about his son Aarav Kumar and revealed he prefers to stay away from limelight.

New Delhi: Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar is known the king of action in the Hindi film industry for a reason. Khiladi Kumar has managed to win the hearts of the audience with his daredevil stunts in his films. The ‘PadMan’ star once again put his adventurous side on display while shooting with Bear Grylls for a special episode of ‘Into The Wild’. The episode of the adventure reality show featuring Akshay Kumar is available for streaming on Discovery+ app from September 11. From doing monkey crawl to cross a river filled with crocodiles to climbing a tree to find the direction of the river, Akshay did some breathtaking stunts on the show. The episode was shot at Karnataka's Bandipur Tiger Reserve in January 2020. Akshay Kumar, who was last seen in ‘Good Newwz’, got candid with Bear Grylls while talking about his early life. The ‘Kesari’ actor spoke about his parents and how his father inspired him to get into sports as he was in the army. We saw Akshay talk about his childhood memories in his interaction with the British adventurist. He got nostalgic about his days in Thailand and revealed women used to peck or kiss him as a tip. He added that he liked his life as a waiter as he offered him more freedom. The 'Laxmmi Bomb' star said that he made a career switch from a martial arts teacher to modelling on his father's suggestion. He revealed that he got a paycheck of Rs 21,000 for his first modelling assignment. Twinkle Khanna spoke about the ‘Mission Mangal’ actor’s love for challenges. Katrina and Suniel also extended support to Akshay for his adventurous journey on the show.

The episode was a treat for the fans as Akshay also opened up about his son Aarav Kumar and said that he wants to stay away from limelight. “He just doesn't want to tell anyone that he is my son. He wants to have his own identity. That's what the whole thing and I understand it. So, I let him be the way he wants to,” Akshay told Bear Grylls.
