'I Relate A Lot To Her...': Manushi Chillar On Playing 'Sonal Chauhan' In 'Operation Valentine'

In a conversation with ABP Live over a video call, Manushi discussed her character 'Sonal Chauhan' who is a radar controller.

Former Miss World Manushi Chillar is currently being seen in 'Operation Valentine' which is an action thriller film based on the 2019 Pulwama terrorist Attack by Pakistan on India, and the retaliatory Balakot Air Strikes of 2019 by the Indian Air Force. The film, directed by Shakti Pratap Singh Hada, and produced by Sony Pictures and Sandeep Mudda, stars Varun Tej, Manushi Chhillar, Navdeep and Mir Sarwar in key roles. In addition, the film marks the Hindi film debut of Tej and the Telugu film debut of Manushi Chillar.

In a conversation with ABP Live over a video call, Manushi discussed her character 'Sonal Chauhan' who is a radar controller.

Manushi says: "She is a radar controller and is very confident. She is very focused on what she is supposed to do and while she is at work she can objectively look at things and I think that is so important especially if you are working in the Air Force. Because, those few milliseconds and the decisions made during that time, really decide whether someone's going to live or not."

"There is a lot that I learnt from the character and I love how grounded and focussed she is. To a certain extent, I do relate with the character and I did relate a lot to her. But, that is something I have found with all my characters. Once you start reading about them and trying to justify what they are doing and why, you start to understand that they are all a part of you," she adds.

Meanwhile, a few days before the release of the film, Manushi visited the Pulwama Memorial Site to pay her tributes to the fallen soldiers. Sharing the pictures on Instagram, Manushi wrote, "We honour the memory of our brave soldiers who laid down their lives 5 years ago with only respect and gratitude in our hearts 🙏🙏 At the Pulwama Memorial site in Lethpora Camp 🙏🙏 A big thank you to the @crpf_india 🇮🇳🇮🇳 #JaiHind"
