Manju Warrier To Star Alongside Ajith In Upcoming Tamil Thriller 'AK61'

Manju Warrier will be playing Ajith’s pair in the film AK61

New Delhi: Actress Manju Warrier is now part of superstar Ajith's upcoming film titled 'AK61'. It's been in the news for sometime that the makers of the film have been on a lookout for an actress for the lead opposite Ajith. It now looks like the search has ended with Manju Warrier.

“Manju Warrier will be playing Ajith’s pair in the film. Vinoth wanted a fresh combo for this film, and he was the one who felt Manju Warrier would be apt. The character requires a solid performer, and so, the team approached her early this year. She recently signed on the dotted line," a source close to the development told TOI.

The shooting of the 'AK61' is already in full swing in Hyderabad. It has been widely reported that a set resembling Chennai's Mount Road has been put up for shoot in Hyderabad. 

As soon as the news of Manju Warrier joining Ajith's film began circulating on social media, fans reported their excitement via tweets and posts surrounding the news. Looks like fans too want to see her as part of Ajith's upcoming thriller.

'AK61' a thriller being helmed by H Vinoth. 'AK61' also marks Ajith’s third consecutive collaboration with director H Vinoth and producer Boney Kapoor. Earlier, the trio had collaborated for 'Nerkonda Paarvai', the remake of the Hindi hit 'Pink' and also worked together on 'Valimai'.

Manju Warrier, on the other hand, will also be seen in 'Ayisha' in which she will play the titular role. The film is said to have an Indo-Arabic backdrop and will be released in Malayalam, Arabic, English, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi.
