Actress Malvi Malhotra, who was allegedly stabbed by a man for rejecting his marriage proposal, has urged actress Kangana Ranaut and National Commission for Women (NCW) chief Rekha Sharma to lend her support.

I would also like to request Kangana Ranaut Ji to support me in this matter because I also belong to Mandi in Himachal Pradesh. The kind of incidence which has happened to me in Mumbai, I didn't expect at all, so I just want their support in my fight against the injustice." Responding to the same Kangana wrote on Twitter, "This is the truth of film industry, this is what happens to small town strugglers who don’t have connections and proper channels, nepotism kids might defend themselves as much they want but how many of them have been stabbed, raped and killed ?" This Is What Happens To Small Town Strugglers' Kangana Ranaut's Reaction On Knife Attack Against Actress Malvi Malhotra The accused is Yogesh Mahipal Singh who had met Malvi a few times before the incident. He claimed to be a producer during these meets and soon after started pressuring the 'Udaan' actress to marry him. As per reports, after Malvi rejected his advances, Yogesh attacked her thrice with a knife on Monday. She is currently admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. Malvi's close contact in Mumbai, Atul Patel, revealed that she has sustained injuries on both the hands and stomach. Meanwhile, the actress is out of danger and the doctors will perform plastic surgery soon. He added that the police visited Yogesh's house at midnight but he wasn't found at his residence, so a search for him is underway. Malvi's family is in touch with her and reportedly, they plan to bring her back to her hometown after the treatment ends. The incident had taken place on Monday around 9 pm in Andheri's Versova when Malvi was coming back home. Yogesh was waiting in a car, he stopped her and asked her why had she discontinued talking to him. An argument ensued, after which he stabbed Malvi with a knife and ran away. Malvi Malhotra started her career as a model and has notably worked in the TV show 'Udaan'. She has been acted in the Hindi film 'Hotel Milan' and the Tamil films 'Ondikku Ondi' and 'Unadhan'.
