'Jersey' Trailer 2: Shahid Kapoor Set To Make A Mark As He Channels His Inner Love For Cricket

After much ado, the sports drama will finally hit theatres on April 14.

New Delhi: Actors Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur went ecstatic as they stepped out for the trailer launch event of their upcoming film 'Jersey', on Moday. After much ado, the sports drama will finally hit theatres on April 14. 'Jersey' was earlier slated to release on December 31, on the occasion of New Year.

The first trailer of the film, that was released almost around four months ago, gave a glimpse of the familial side of the story, focusing on the lives of Vidya (played by Mrunal Thakur) and Arjun (played by Shahid Kapoor). 

The second trailer goes on to dive deeper into Shahid's character as a cricketer, highlighting Arjun's passion and undying love for cricket. Sharing the teaser of the trailer launch on his social media, Shahid wrote, "Blood, sweat, emotions and a whole lot of love!♥️ Experience Arjun and his story! #JerseyTrailer dropping at 1pm today."

Shahid's mother and actress Neelima Azeem showered praises on her son as she wrote, "Fab🔥❤️""

Shahid Kapoor, who plays the role of a cricketer in the film, is all set to woo the audience with his power-packed performance. The film has an endearing storyline that shows a father getting back in the game to fulfill his son's dreams. The film will also see Shahid's father and veteran actor Pankaj Kapur in a pivotal role.

'Jersey' has been written and directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri. The film is the remake of the 2019 Telugu film titled the same, that starred actors Nani and Shraddha Srinath in the lead roles.
