Hrithik Roshan's grandmother from his mother's side passed away at the age of 91 on Thursday. Padma Rani Omprakash died in Mumbai. Padma Rani had been battling age-related illnesses for a long time. Rakesh Roshan confirmed her demise to Hindustan Times.

Padmi Rani Omprakash was the wife of well-known filmmaker J Om Prakash. For the last few years, Padma Pani had been staying with her daughter Pinkie due to her poor health.
Pinkie Roshan shared the health update about her mother on her official Instagram handle and wrote, "My mother Padma rani Omprakash left us for her onward journey to reunite with daddy. Love peace gratitude.” She also shared photos featuring her mother and father, “Both are together in harmony and peace. My mother, my father love you both forever.”
Actress and talk-show host Simi Garewal commented on Pinkie's post and wrote, "Yes my dear Pinkie...they are both at peace now..united again in their love. It's been a blessed life for them to have been cared for & loved by their daughter..as you have."

In May, Pinkie had shared pictures of her mother’s birthday on Instagram. Cute as they were, we could see from the pictures that her mother is unwell as she sits in a hospital bed.
