Housefull 5 Worldwide Box Office Collection: Akshay Kumar Starrer Crosses Rs 200 Crore, Eyes Raid 2’s Record Next

‘Housefull 5’ has emerged as one of the biggest box office performers of the year. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, the ensemble comedy has seen impressive global traction in just over a week.

Housefull 5 enters Rs 200 crore club

As per the latest box office update shared by the makers, ‘Housefull 5’ has grossed Rs 212.76 crore worldwide within 8 days of its release. This includes Rs 140.18 crore net from the domestic market. On its eighth day (Friday), the film added Rs 6.60 crore in India and Rs 2.35 crore from overseas territories.

Its opening day itself brought in Rs 24.35 crore net from India and Rs 11.11 crore globally. The film also overtook ‘Sikandar’ starring Salman Khan, by surpassing its lifetime collection of Rs 184.6 crore in just one week.

With the current pace, ‘Housefull 5’ is now in striking distance of two major hits, Ajay Devgn’s ‘Raid 2’ (Rs 234.9 crore) and Mohanlal’s Thudarum (Rs 234.5 crore). While the film still has some ground to cover to catch up with Venkatesh’s ‘Sankranthiki Vasthunam’ (Rs 255 crore) and Mohanlal’s ‘L2: Empuraan’ (Rs 265.5 crore), trade experts suggest it's well on track to cross ‘Raid 2’ in the coming days.
