'Ghotala' Actress Angel Rai Gets Death Threat: 'Will Burn You Alive...'

Social media influencer and actress Angel Rai has claimed that her life is in danger after receiving repeated death threats, which she said increased after the trailer launch of her web series 'Ghotala'. The unidentified person allegedly threatened to burn her alive and harm her. 

Rai, who resides in Mumbai's Bangur Nagar area, stated that she has been receiving such threats for a long time and has now decided to seek legal help. She has filed a police complaint against an unidentified person.

Police have registered a case based on Rai's statement. In her complaint, Rai mentioned that for several days, she has been receiving threatening emails from an unknown individual, who has also been sending her obscene messages.

Threats Intensified After Web Series Trailer Release

Rai further claimed that the threats escalated after the release of the trailer for her web series Ghotala. She alleged that the person harassing her has been threatening her for a long time, but the intensity of the threats increased significantly following the trailer’s launch.

Police Investigation Underway

The actress stated that the continuous threats left her terrified, prompting her to approach the police immediately. The police have registered a case under sections 75, 78, 79, 351(3), 352, 356(2) of the BNS, along with relevant sections of the IT Act.

Authorities have begun a thorough investigation into the matter.

 Rai is a well-known social media influencer with a massive following on Instagram, boasting 25.5 million followers.
