Ek Villain Returns Release: John Abraham Announces Release Date Of Arjun Kapoor Starrer With A Cryptic Poster

While earlier, there were reports that Aditya Roy Kapur will portray the lead role in the sequel of ‘Ek Villain’. However, now, going by John Abraham’s tweet, it can now be figured out that Arjun Kapoor will portray the lead character in the film. Read on to know full details.

New Delhi: Bollywood actor John Abraham recently took to his social media and announced the release date of the sequel of the much-anticipated movie Ek Villain with a poster.

The ‘Satyamev Jayate 2’ actor took to his Twitter and wrote, “Iss kahaani ka hero, villain hai! #EkVillainReturns, 11th Feb, 2022 @ektarkapoor #BhushanKumar @mohit11481 #ShobhaKapoor @RuchikaaKapoor @arjunk26 @DishPatani @TaraSutaria @amul_mohan @balajimotionpic @TSeries #BalajiMotionPictures”.

While earlier, there were reports that Aditya Roy Kapur will portray the lead role in the sequel of ‘Ek Villain’. However, now, going by John Abraham’s tweet, it can now be figured out that Arjun Kapoor will portray the lead character in the film along with Disha Patani and Tara Sutaria. Directed by Mohit Suri, this film is all set to hit the big screens on February 11, 2022.

Meanwhile, the movie ‘Ek Villain’ is an action-thriller drama released in the year 2014. Starring Sidharth Malhotra, Shraddha Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh in the lead roles, this movie won the heart of the audience and critics. The music of the movie became a hit and the movie emerged to be commercially successful film earning over Rs 1.5 billion worldwide reportedly. ‘Ek Villain’ was directed by Mohit Suri and written by Tushar Hiranandani.

Riteish Deshmukh received lots of praises and accolades for his portrayal of the antagonist in the film. This also marked the first time the ‘Grand Masti’ actor illustrated a negative character on screen. The dialogue of ‘Ek Villain’ has been written by Milap Milan Zaveri. It was earlier alleged to be an unofficial remake of the 2010 Korean film ‘I Saw The Devil’, but director Mohit Suri refuted all the claims.
