Liger Release Date: Vijay Deverakonda And Ananya Panday Starrer To Hit The Screens On This Date!

New Delhi: Vijay Deverakonda, who is well-known for his work in the Telugu film industry, is all set to star in the Bollywood film ‘Liger’ opposite Ananya Panday. This upcoming film has been creating a lot of buzz on social media ever since its announcement. It was earlier tentatively titled as ‘Fighter’, ‘Liger’ has been directed by Puri Jagannadh and produced by Karan Johar.

Well, to keep the anticipation level of the audience high, the release date of the film has been recently announced. Film critic Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter and announced the release date of ‘Liger’ starring Vijay Deverakonda in the lead role. ‘Liger’ is all set to hit the screens on September 9, 2021.

Taran Adarsh’s tweet read, “#LIGER ARRIVES ON 9 SEPT 2021... #Liger - starring #VijayDeverakonda and #AnanyaPanday - to release on 9 Sept 2021... Directed by #PuriJagannadh... In this upcoming romantic sports film, the ‘Arjun Reddy’ actor will be seen portraying the character of a kickboxer with a stutter. Vijay underwent a drastic physical transformation for this role. Also, reportedly, Janhvi Kapoor was the first choice for the female lead in the film but got replaced by the ‘Student Of The Year 2’ actress owing to her date issues.

Meanwhile, Deverakonda started his acting career with the 2011 Telugu romantic comedy ‘Nuvvila’. He then made his debut as a lead in the 2016 romantic comedy ‘Pelli Choopulu’. Vijay Deverakonda established himself as a leading actor by starring in critical and commercially successful movies like ‘Arjun Reddy’, ‘Mahanati’, ‘Geetha Govindam’, and ‘Taxiwaala’.
