On her birthday today, we take a look at some of her best performances so far:

1. Cocktail- 2012

Deepika donned the hat of a carefree, independent and a spoilt rich woman in this friendship drama that presented Deepika in a never-seen-before avatar. The actress not only breathed life into her character of Veronica but also made her presence noticeable with her performance. Cocktail came as a milestone for Deepika post her mediocre performances in 'Housefull', 'Lafangey Parindey' and 'Karthik Calling Karthik'.

2. Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela- 2013

Deepika nailed her character of Leela in this feisty love saga. Being feisty, fierce and gutsy enough to go to any lengths for her love, the actress made the audience fall in love with her. She set a benchmark for herself with her vivacious character. Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali pulled out an ever-lasting character from Deepika's persona in this film.

3. Bajirao Mastani- 2015

The epic drama features Deepika as the gorgeous Mastani who wins the heart of Peshwa Bajirao played by Ranveer Singh with her grace and valour. Deepika stole the show both with her looks and grace with which she essayed the character. She made everyone go gaga with her performance.

4. Piku- 2015

The year 2015 came as a bonanza for Deepika's fans as the actress delivered two back to back blockbusters with 'Piku' and 'Bajirao Mastani'. Stepping into the shoes of an independent, modern-age woman, Deepika once again proved her mettle with her versatility as she played the character of Piku. Directed by Shoojit Sircar, the film also stars superstar Amitabh Bachchan and the man known for his acting finesse, late Irrfan Khan.

5. Chhapaak- 2020

Bringing the tragedy of acid attack survivor Laxmi Aggarwal on-screen, Deepika struck chords with various hearts as she left the audience emotional and teary-eyed with her resilient character. Deepika lived her character and aced it like a true star.
