Connect Twitter Review: Twitterati Praise Nayanthara's Performance But Are Not Much Impressed With The Story
Viewers and Nayanthara fans saw the film on its opening day, flooding social media sites with reactions to the horror-thriller.
New Delhi: Nayanthara's pandemic horror thriller ‘Connect’ has been met with mostly good reviews on social media. Directed by Ashwin Saravanan, ‘Connect’ has finally been released yesterday. This is Ashwin Saravanan's second film with this cast and crew following the successful horror thriller ‘Maya’ in 2015.
Viewers and Nayanthara devotees saw the film on its opening day, flooding social media sites with reactions to the horror-thriller. The reviews for the film were all over the internet. According to some, the movie was saved by Nayanthara's acting while it failed to resonate with others.
Check out what Twitterati are saying about the movie:
Borrowing an idea from another movie is not bad but completely screwing it up is horrible. #Host [2020] made a better cyber-natural film with lesser resources and in Covid-19 times. Here #AshwinSaravanan was as dis-#Connect-ed as the entity from its reality and astral plane. pic.twitter.com/SY3SGO7xeE

Movie with crisp 99 minutes is a big pro ! @NayantharaU killed it as usual and movie is completely based on exorcism ! Bit of dark humor and bit of horror is the soul
Rating: 3/5

#ConnectReview A engaging horror drama which once again proves why @Ashwin_saravana is one of the very few director who can turn a interesting one line to a interesting cinema thanks to his technical sensibilities. @VigneshShivN @NayantharaU @Rowdy_Pictures pic.twitter.com/MMjFMMznAJ

#Connect - not connected.. disappointed.🤦

#Connect The initial portions that set up the premise are emotional and make an impact. There is some genuine tension and scare once the horror portions kick off. But the novelty wears off soon and the scares reduce. Connect isn’t bad but is too simplistic without any surprises!

- #Nayanthara's Performance was outstanding.
- There are still enough thrill moments even though there aren't many.
- It features a good screenplay and fantastic sound mix, But Story could have been a lot more better.
