Prajakta Koli Makes History As The Only Indian On TIME100 Creators List

Digital star and actor Prajakta Koli becomes the first Indian-born creator to make it to TIME's inaugural TIME100 Creators List. She joins global influencers like Charli D’Amelio and Marques Brownlee.

Prajakta Koli, widely known by her digital alias "Mostly Sane", has added another milestone to her growing list of achievements. The popular Indian content creator, actor, and activist has been featured in the inaugural edition of TIME Magazine’s TIME100 Creators list — a new initiative by the global media giant celebrating the most influential digital creators around the world.

Koli stands out as the only Indian-born creator to make it to the list, which features a diverse array of personalities shaping the future of online content across platforms like YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram.

From YouTube to Global Recognition

Starting her journey in 2015 with her YouTube channel Mostly Sane, Prajakta steadily built a strong community drawn to her relatable humour and authenticity. Today, her platform boasts 7 million YouTube subscribers and 8 million Instagram followers — numbers that reflect the impact of her digital voice.

She shares this global recognition with heavyweights like Indian-origin British author Jay Shetty, tech reviewer Marques Brownlee, and TikTok sensation Charli D’Amelio. Prajakta is listed in the Entertainment category alongside creators like Taylen Biggs, Heidi Wong, and Taylor Frankie Paul.

“Humbling and Incredibly Meaningful,” Says Koli

Reacting to the honour, Prajakta shared, “Being recognised as the first Indian creator on TIME's inaugural TIME100 Creators List is both humbling and incredibly meaningful. This recognition represents not just my journey, but the power of authentic storytelling and the responsibility that comes with having a platform.”

She further emphasised her belief in creators’ ability to spark change, saying, “I've always believed that creators have the opportunity to drive meaningful conversations and inspire positive change. To be acknowledged alongside such influential voices from around the world reinforces my commitment to using my voice for causes I believe in, whether it's climate action, education or simply making people smile through my content.”
