Akshay Kumar And Paresh Rawal Celebrate Makar Sankranti, Share Heartwarming Video From 'Bhooth Bangla' Sets

Bollywood superstars Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal kicked off the festive celebrations of Makar Sankranti in high spirits, flying a kite together.

New Delhi: Bollywood actors Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar celebrated Makar Sankranti by releasing a kite into the sky on location for their next flick Bhooth Bangla. Akshay posted a touching video on social media that showed the two stars participating in the festival custom.

The clip captures the behind-the-scenes friendship between Akshay and Paresh Rawal, as the former skilfully controls the kite while the latter offers a helping hand. It seems like the two actors are enjoying themselves. In the video's description, Akshay wrote, “Celebrating the vibrant spirit of Makar Sankranti on the set of #BhoothBangla with my dear friend @pareshrawalofficial ! 🪁 Here’s to laughter, good vibes, and soaring high just like the kites! Many fans also shared their enthusiasm by posting love emojis in the comments area. "Waiting aap Dono Ko sath me dekhne kaa," one admirer said, while another exclaimed, "Finally watching them after a long time."

Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Akshay Kumar, Wamiqa Gabbi, Tabu and Asrani are all part of the ensemble cast of ‘Bhooth Bangla’. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Shobha Kapoor, and Ektaa R. Kapoor are the film's producers, while Vedant Vikaas Bali and Faara Sheikh are co-producers. Priyadarshan's ‘Bhooth Bangla’ will be released in theatres on April 2, 2026.

Priyadarshan Talks About Reunion With Akshay Kumar

After a fourteen-year hiatus, director Priyadarshan is overjoyed to be reuniting with the Bollywood star Akshay Kumar. Considering their past collaborations, he told PTI, “Every film I’ve made with him has been a super hit. People say that you are the reason Akshay (does comedy), but I don’t believe in all those things. What I did was exploit his sense of humour (on screen). We are working after 14 years and I hope things will work. It’s a challenge. We can’t match the expectations (of the audience) but I’m trying my best.”
