Aamir Khan Relocates To Chennai To Spend Time With His Mother: Reports

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan is reportedly relocating to Chennai for a couple of months to be with her ailing mother Zeenat Hussain.

New Delhi: Bollywood actor Aamir Khan is reportedly relocating to Chennai for a couple of months to be with her ailing mother Zeenat Hussain. His mother, who reportedly suffered a heart attack last year in October, is currently getting treatment at a private medical facility in Chennai

According to India Today report, Aamir will be staying at a hotel near the medical facility where his mother is being treated. The actor, who was last seen in Laal Singh Chaddha, is currently on a sabbatical which he took to spend time with his family. At a recent event, the 58-year-old said it was somewhere around 2.5 years ago when he realised that his passion for cinema had taken over his life, including his relationship with children Junaid Khan, Ira Khan, and Azad Rao Khan.

"Around 2.5 years ago, I realised I was so lost in my passion that I hadn't given enough time to my relationships. I was disturbed and unhappy. I would have left films if not for my children. I was angry and irritated with myself," Aamir said at News18 India's ‘Amrit Ratna 2023’ event.

The actor said he is happy that he is able to fill the gaps in his relationship with his children.

"I can't go back to the time when Junaid was 5 or Ira was 4. We need to understand what we want to do with our time. I've become mindful. I've been in therapy for 2 years. I believe we are not trained to do everything. With all my kids, I'm like a friend. I'm a friendly father. We share a strong bond and talk openly... I'm calmer. My relationship with my kids is better now," he added.

On the work front, Aamir recently spoke about his new film ' Sitare Zameen Par,' a project that carries a similar theme to the iconic 'Taare Zameen Par.'

"I have not spoken about it publicly and I won't be able to say much now also. But I can tell the title. The title of the film is 'Sitare Zameen Par'. You must have remembered my film Taare Zameen Par and the name of this film is 'Sitare Zameen Par' because we are moving 10 steps ahead with the same theme. Taare Zameen Par was an emotional film, this film will make you laugh. That film made you cry this one will entertain you. But the theme is the same that's why we kept this name very thoughtfully,” he said at an event.
