Bigg Boss 17 Fame Abhishek Kumar Reveals Shocking Casting Couch Experience From His Struggling Days
Actor Abhishek Kumar recounts a traumatic experience in TV industry and briefly quitting before finding work again.

Abhishek Kumar, best known for his role in ‘Udaariyaan’, has revealed a disturbing experience from early in his career. In an interview with Pinkvilla, the actor shared how an unsettling incident involving physical contact just months into his TV journey forced him to step back from the industry.
Recalling the incident, Abhishek said, “Voh kareeb 6 months mei aaya tha. Toh mere sath ek incident ho gaya, Gay tha koi jo touchy touchy sa ho gaya tha.”
He added that it happened about 1.5–2 months into his stint, and the person suggested, “Tuje aisa karna padega, tabhi tu aage badh sakta hai.” He had heard such things happened, but never expected it to be real, until then. “Maine kaha real mei toh nahi hota hoga.”
The actor explained how he kept the incident from his family, making up a story that he was training in Delhi. “Mai darr gaya tha... Maine ghar pe nahi bataya tha mai Mumbai mei hu. Maine kaha tha mei Delhi mei training kar rha hu.” He bought a general-ticket train ticket and returned home in tears, “Aur mei general mai baitha hu, rota rota vapis ghar jaa rha hu.”
After returning home, Abhishek gave up on his acting ambitions temporarily and took a job that paid him just Rs 7,000 per month. However, over time, he found the strength to return to the industry and has since become a known face in Indian television.
On the work front, Abhishek has been active on reality TV, appearing on Bigg Boss 17, Khatron Ke Khiladi 14, and most recently on Laughter Chefs 2.
