‘Bhoole Bisre Geet’ Is India’s Most Popular Radio Show

Reportedly, Lucknow has entered the top 10 cities in India where All India Live-streams on NewsOnAir App is most popular.

New Delhi: ‘Bhoole Bisre Geet’, ‘Kuch Batein Kuch Geet’ and ‘Vividh Bharati Ki Rangoli’ are three of the most popular shows on the Vividh Bharati National channel. Amongst these three shows on the channel, ‘Bhoole Bisre Geet’ has emerged as the Most Popular Radio Programmes of India, according to a statement issued by PIB.

The statement of PIB further revealed that Lucknow has entered the top 10 cities in India where All India Live-streams on NewsOnAir App are most popular. Lucknow reportedly displaced Patna from the list. The statement read, “In the latest Rankings of top cities in India where All India Radio Live-streams on NewsOnAir App are most popular, Lucknow has entered top 10 for the first time, after displacing Patna from the list.”

Prasar Bharati also shared the update from their official Twitter handle and wrote, “NewsOnAir Radio live-stream India rankings India’s most popular radio show - Bhoole Bisre Geet Lucknow enters the top 10 for the first time in cities where AIR live-streams on NewsOnAir App are most popular”.

Additionally, PIB’s statement also revealed, “In major changes in rankings of top AIR Streams in India, FM Gold Delhi has registered significant growth jumping up from 9th to 6th rank, while Rainbow Kannada Kaamanbilu and FM Rainbow Delhi have slipped from 4th to 7th and from 7th to 10thspot respectively.”

Meanwhile, more than 240 radio services of All India Radio are live-streamed on NewsOnAir App, Prasar Bharati’s official App and have a huge listener base not only in India but globally. Reportedly, the radio services are streamed in more than 85 countries and 8000 cities across the globe.

According to the statement issued by PIB, the above rankings are based on fortnightly data from July 16 – July 31, 2021.
