Arjun Kapoor Leaves Parineeti Chopra Overwhelmed After Launching Her First Look Poster From 'Uunchai'

Sharing Parineeti's first look from the film, Arjun wrote 'Uunchai' was a 'special film' for the actress being her first Sooraj Barjatya film

New Delhi: Some film friendships can last forever. That is the case with Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra. Both debuted together in 'Ishaqzaade' and earned wide-acclaim for their performance in the film. Having been a part of films like 'Namastey England' and the acclaimed film 'Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar', both share a special bond. Recently, Arjun unveiled Parineeti Chopra's first look from her upcoming film 'Uunchai' starring Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani and Neena Gupta.

Directed by Sooraj Barjatya and produced by the Barjatya’s family banner Rajshri, 'Uunchai' marks Parineeti’s first film with the well-established banner. Sharing Parineeti's first look from the film, Arjun wrote 'Uunchai' was a 'special film'.

Taking to his official Instagram handle, Arjun shared the first look poster of Parineeti's character from the film and wrote, "She was my first co-star, she was my first heroine and this is her first #Rajshri film. This is to all the beautiful firsts. This one is for you Pari! With all heart, I bring to you, my dear friend Parineeti as Shraddha Gupta from #Uunchai! A special film by Sooraj Barjatya. See you at the movies on 11.11.22 Love and luck to Team Uunchai!”

Parineeti responded to Arjun's post by sharing his post on her Instagram story and wrote that it was not a surprise but a 'shock' that Arjun Kapoor launched her poster. She called him her "original, sach ka, asli dost (one true friend)”. In another story, Parineeti shared that she was touched by the gesture which is such a rarity in the 'insecure world'.

"Arjun launching my first look from Uunchai is one of those ‘moments’ in our friendship and in our life. In this insecure world, people don’t do that. This is a core memory that I will cherish forever. Sometimes in this crazy career, a gesture like this can make you smile, really smile from within. Love you baba. You are the best. Baaki sab phone pe (rest everything over call),” Parineeti wrote.

Meanwhile, Parineeti was recently seen in 'Code Name: Tiranga' co-starring Harrdy Sandhu. The film is performing poorly at the box office and is her first release since her last film 'Saina' which also performed poorly at the box office.

'Uunchai' meanwhile is Sooraj Barjatya's directorial comeback after 2015 when he helmed 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' starring Salman Khan, Sonam Kapoor and Anupam Kher in the lead.
