Arijit Singh, a well-known playback singer, has a large following. Along with having a beautiful voice, the singer is renowned for being modest and down to earth. He continues to lead a fairly straightforward life in his native West Bengali town of Murshidabad.

A video of the singer scootering to the store to buy groceries has gone viral. In a Facebook video, the playback singer can be seen mingling with his neighbours while toting a bag of groceries. Singh tells the audience in Bengali that his wife visited a blood bank and that he is doing well. Then he can be seen mounting the scooter and leaving.

The video has gone viral and elicited numerous reactions. People were overjoyed to see their favourite singer's humble demeanour. Many people have mentioned how Arijit Singh has a large fan base not only because of his talent but also because he is a wonderful human being.

"So down to earth," one user said. "Simplicity level Arijit Singh," another said. “Wow. "He is the highest-paid singer," a third said. "My favourite," another netizen said.

"There are people like this, living such a simple life while being such a shining star, that's Arijit Singh," a fan commented. Meanwhile, Arijit Singh himself liked the video.

Arijit Singh was born in Jiaganj, Murshidabad, to a Punjabi Sikh father, Kakkar Singh, and a Bengali Hindu mother, Aditi Singh. In 2005, he appeared on the reality show Fame Gurukul, as well as other shows. However, he did not achieve widespread acclaim until the release of songs such as 'Tum Hi Ho' and 'Chahun Main Ya Naa' in the 2013 film Aashiqui 2.
