Anticipation around Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming 'Ramayana' just reached new heights, thanks to a viral selfie featuring two of the world’s most celebrated music legends, AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer. While the film’s first look already captivated fans, it’s the unexpected team-up of these musical giants that has ignited a wave of excitement on social media.

Soon after, the photo surfaced on Reddit, where netizens shared their amusement and awe. One user joked, “This is such a dad-coded selfie,” while another commented, “Ram ne bana di jodi.” A particularly creative fan dubbed the duo “#Zimmerman”, a playful mash-up of their names.

Musical Titans at the Helm

Hans Zimmer, the mastermind behind cinematic scores like Inception, Interstellar, and Dune, has won two Academy Awards for The Lion King (1994) and Dune (2021). AR Rahman, fondly known as the "Mozart of Madras", earned global recognition for Slumdog Millionaire, winning two Oscars at the 81st Academy Awards in 2009.

This rare East-meets-West collaboration has set the stage for what many believe could be one of the most memorable scores in Indian cinema. With Rahman’s soul-stirring melodies and Zimmer’s atmospheric brilliance, the soundscape of Ramayana promises to be as grand as its mythology.
