Alia Bhatt Reveals Her Post-Partum Fitness Experience While Practising Aerial Yoga

Alia wrote, "One and a half months post-partum, after gradually re-building my connection with my core, and with full guidance from my teacher Anshuka I was able to attempt this inversion today."

New Delhi: Alia Bhatt recently posted a photo of herself doing aerial yoga on Instagram and revealed that after becoming a mother, she tried it for the first time. She also wrote an extensive post detailing her workout experience. Anshuka Parwani, a well-known fitness expert, also posted a video of Alia practising aerial yoga on her Instagram page.

In her Instagram post, Alia wrote, "One and a half months post-partum, after gradually re-building my connection with my core, and with full guidance from my teacher Anshuka I was able to attempt this inversion today."

She also wrote a message for all new moms suggesting they listen to their bodies after giving birth. She wrote, "To my fellow mamas, listening to your body post delivery is key. Do NOT do anything your gut tells you not to."

Further, narrating her story she said, "For the first week or two during my workouts, all I did was breathe… walk… find my stability and balance again. Take your time - appreciate what your body has done. After what my body did this year I have taken a vow to never be hard on myself again. Childbirth is a miracle in every way, and giving your body that love and support that it gave you is the least we can do."

Her post received comments and appreciation from her fellow stars and fans alike. Ishaan Khatter wrote, "mama alia you are even more amazing :) big ups!" Kate Sharma commented, "Appreciation is a need of mind and body.. so keep loving and appreciating your soul on regular basis."

One of her fans also wrote, "Loved a celebrity being so open about the bodily changes postpartum and how every body is different. Yes, our bodies don't miraculously jump back into our postpartum shape and size and we don't have the same strength like before, well at least the core doesn't! And it's important to acknowledge and care for it."

In the video posted by Anshuka, she wrote, "Alia Bhatt floating in her first hammock inversion postpartum." as the caption of the post.
