AI Imagines Aamir Khan As Lord Krishna & Kishore Kumar Amid Biopic & Mahabharat Buzz, Watch

AI-generated images reimagine Aamir Khan as Lord Krishna for his upcoming Mahabharat series and as Kishore Kumar amid biopic talks. The visuals have stunned fans online.

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan may soon step into the shoes of legendary singer Kishore Kumar. The actor is reportedly in discussions with director Anurag Basu for a biopic that has long been in the making, and the project could mark a compelling new chapter in Aamir’s career.

Kishore Kumar Biopic in the Pipeline

According to Pinkvilla, Khan and Basu have held multiple meetings for the biopic, which is being developed under the banner of producer Bhushan Kumar. A source close to the development told the publication, “The Kishore Kumar biopic is a subject close to the heart of Anurag Basu and Bhushan Kumar, and they are looking to bring it to the spectacle in the best possible way. Aamir Khan is also a big admirer of Kishore Kumar and loved the vision that Basu has to bring the life of legend to the spectacle.”

While the film is yet to be officially confirmed, reports suggest the script has already been locked, making it one of the stronger contenders among the six projects currently under Aamir's consideration.

Six Films, One Decision Pending

Aamir reportedly has six potential films on his radar. Among these are the Kishore Kumar biopic, a Ujjwal Nikam biopic, and a comedy directed by Rajkumar Santoshi—all of which have completed scripts. Meanwhile, 'Ghajini 2', a project with Lokesh Kanagaraj, and a collaboration with Zoya Akhtar are still in the development phase.

“Aamir has liked all the films, and will take a call on his immediate next by the end of this year. Of the 6 films, he will do three for sure in different timelines and might let go of the other three,” the source told Pinkvilla.

Mahabharat: The Dream Project Finally Moves Forward

Beyond the buzz around biopics and sequels, Aamir is finally moving ahead with his long-cherished dream—a cinematic adaptation of the 'Mahabharat'. In an interview with Screen, he confirmed that production begins in August 2025 and that it will be made as a series of films filmed back-to-back.

“Well, I’m starting work on it in the month of August. It will be a series of films. It’ll be back to back. Because you can’t tell the Mahabharat in just one film,” he said.

He also revealed a surprising casting strategy: “I don’t plan to take any known faces in the film. For me, the characters are the stars. I want unknown faces. There’ll be entirely new cast for it, is what I’m thinking.”

At a recent industry summit, Aamir reaffirmed his emotional connection to the epic. “Yeh mera sapna hai ke main bana paun Mahabharat, lekin bohot mushkil sapna hai woh… see, Mahabharat will never let you down… but you might let Mahabharat down."

As 2025 approaches, all eyes will be on which direction Aamir Khan takes next—whether it’s channeling the legendary voice of Kishore Kumar or breathing cinematic life into India’s greatest epic. Either way, the actor seems set to embark on one of the most ambitious phases of his career.
