'We Have Lord Ram's Blessings': CM Yogi Says BJP To Win All 80 Seats In UP In Lok Sabha Elections

CM Yogi Adityanath said that while the BJP contested the 2019 Lok Sabha polls alone against the opposition parties combined, it won 64 out of 80 seats.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said that the Bhartiya Janata Party should aim at winning all 80 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in the state.

CM Yogi said that while the BJP contested the 2019 Lok Sabha polls alone against the opposition parties combined, it won 64 out of 80 seats.

However, he added that due to the double-engine government in the state and PM Modi's leadership, the environment is in favour of BJP and the party has Lord Ram's blessings.

"At the 'Viksit Bharat- Modi's Guarantee' program, UP CM Yogi Adityanath says, "In 2019, the BJP won 64 out of 80 seats when the BJP was contesting alone against all the opposition parties combined. Today the environment is much more in our favour. Now, we even have Lord Ram's blessings," CM Yogi said at the 'Viksit Bharat- Modi's Guarantee' program in Lucknow.

"There are works done by the double-engine government and PM Modi's leadership, the party has expanded, and works to fulfill lots of aspirations have been completed. In such times, just like yesterday, we should aim at winning 80 out of 80, 100% of the Lok Sabha seats," CM Yogi added.

The UP Chief Minister's resolve was also shared by Union Minister Rajnath Singh's statements, who on Wednesday, asserted that the BJP-led NDA will ride high on the rising credibility of PM Narendra Modi in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Singh, who is on a day-long tour of Bihar, briefly interacted with reporters in Sitamarhi district, where he paid obeisance at Punaura Dham, a shrine where Goddess Sita is believed to have been discovered by King Janaka.

"The way Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s credibility has been rising, there will be no area left where the (BJP symbol) lotus would not bloom," Singh said.

The BJP also brainstormed over the party's probable candidates in many states for the Lok Sabha elections.

Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP national president J P Nadda held separate meetings with party leaders from several states, including Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttarakhand.

Similar meetings with leaders from Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Telangana have been held so far. The first list is expected to include the names of heavyweights like Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Shah but may also include many seats which were not won by the BJP in the 2019 polls, a report in PTI said.
