Varun Gandhi Pens Note After Getting Dropped From Pilibhit, Says Will Continue To Serve 'At Any Cost'
BJP MP from UP's Pilibhit, Varun Gandhi wrote a letter to his electorate ahead of the conclusion of his term as he was not given ticket by the party for the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls.
BJP MP Varun Gandhi on Thursday wrote a letter to his electorate as he is approaching towards the end of his term as Pilibhit's MP. Earlier, the saffron party had dropped the sitting MP Varun Gandhi and instead fielded former Congress leader Jitin Prasada from Pilibhit. In the letter, Gandhi wrote that although his term as Pilibhit MP might be ending soon, his relationship with his Lok Sabha constituency would not end till his last breath. He also stated that he will continue to raise the voice of the common man, no matter the price he has to pay for it.

Varun Gandhi also stated in the letter that he feels blessed to have received the opportunity to serve the people of Philibhit. He also mentioned how the UP city played a crucial role in his upbringing and development.
The Pilibhit MP reminisced how he came to the city in 1983 as a three-year-old and how the people of Pilibhit have now become his family. He also stated that representing the people of Pilibhit was the biggest honour of his life and that he served the people and fought for their rights by utilising his potential to the fullest.
Varun Gandhi also wrote that his doors will always remain open to the people of Pilibhit and he will continue to serve them for his entire life. "My relationship with Pilibhit is based on love and trust, which is greater than any political fold," the letter read.
Earlier on Tuesday, Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury had asked Varun Gandhi to join Congress after he did not get a Lok Sabha ticket from the saffron party. The Congress leader also alleged that Varun Gandhi was snubbed by BJP due to his "connection with the Gandhi family."
BJP dropped the sitting MP Varun Gandhi and instead fielded former Congress leader Jitin Prasada from Pilibhit. However, BJP retained his mother and former Union Minister Maneka Gandhi from Uttar Pradesh's Sultanpur.
