Sidhu Moose Wala's Father To Contest 2027 Punjab Elections
Sidhu Moose Wala's father, Balkaur Singh, will contest the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections from Mansa.

Balkaur Singh, father of renowned Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala, has announced his entry into politics. He will contest the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections from the Mansa constituency. Balkaur Singh made this announcement in an interview with a private news channel.
'CM's Claims Are False'
In his statement, Balkaur Singh said, "Yes, I will contest the elections. Only by being within the system can we fight for justice." He also attacked the Punjab Chief Minister, stating, "Every claim made by the CM turns out to be fraudulent. Whenever elections approach, he says anything to win." Regarding the CM's claims about the arrest of Goldie Brar, he said, "I don't want to comment on that because his claims always turn out to be fraudulent. Whenever elections approach, he says anything to win."
While Balkaur Singh hasn't specified which party he will contest from, his announcement, made two days before Sidhu Moose Wala's death anniversary, is seen as a new hope for Moose Wala's supporters.
Sidhu Moose Wala Contested Mansa In 2022
It is noteworthy that Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead in May 2022, a crime claimed by the Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldie Brar gangs. Sidhu Moose Wala had contested the 2022 Assembly elections from Mansa on a Congress ticket but lost to AAP's Vijay Singla. His father's entry into politics has once again brought this constituency into the limelight.
