PM Says Country Can See 'Modi Doosri Mitti Ka Insaan Hai' As He Unveils Projects In UP Ahead Of Polls

PM Modi virtually launched and laid the groundwork for 15 airport projects across the nation worth over Rs 9,800 crore.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for multiple development projects worth over Rs 42,000 crore during his visit to Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh. Speaking at the gathering, PM Modi stated: "Azamgarh's star is shining today. There was a time when an event was held in Delhi and (people from) other states used to attend it. Today, the event is being organised in Azamgarh and people from different parts of the country are attending it."

"People of Azamgarh - hear one more Modi ki guarantee. I give you one more guarantee. The Azamgarh of tomorrow is 'Ajanmagarh'. This Ajanmagarh' will be the 'garh' of development. This will be the 'garh' of development for eternity. Ye Modi ki guarantee hai," he stated.

Addressing the crowd, the Prime Minister stated that his government is bringing new development initiatives to the forefront. There was a period when there was no development in this section of the country, he explained. "I am running the country with full speed to fulfil the promise of developed India by 2047," he stated.

Taking a potshot at opposition, PM Modi stated: "What used to happen in election season earlier? People in previous governments used to make announcements to deceive people...When I analyse, I find that announcements were made 30-35 years ago. They used to put up a plaque before elections and disappear after that, the leaders disappeared too...Today, the country can see that "Modi doosri mitti ka insaan hai.""

"The foundation stones we laid in 2019, were not for elections. You can see that we have inaugurated it too. Even in 2024, nobody should see it through the glasses of elections. This is the campaign of my journey for development," he added.

PM Modi further slammed opposition, stating that the "urbanisation, which is going on in the country, should have been done 30 years ago."

Continuing his stance, PM Modi at UP rally stated that his 'parivaar' is 140 crore people of India. "As UP develops, the poison of appeasement is weakening," he added.

PM Modi virtually launched and laid the groundwork for 15 airport projects across the nation worth over Rs 9,800 crore. He also inaugurated 12 new terminal buildings of Pune, Kolhapur, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Delhi, Lucknow, Aligarh, Azamgarh, Chitrakoot, Moradabad, Shravasti and Adampur airports.

After the launch, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh stated: "Earlier, air travel was considered to be an elite class thing but we ended the gap between the poor and the rich by enhancing the regional connectivity, through scheme, Ude Desh ka Aam Nagarik (UDAN). If someone should be credited with this, it is our PM Narendra Modi... The basic infrastructure in the aviation sector has been improved massively, it is evident from the fact that in 2014 we had 74 airports, but now we have 149 airports in our country..."
