'Shehzaada Dancing With Constitution On His Head': PM Modi Attacks Rahul Gandhi In Gujarat — WATCH

Modi Vs Rahul Gandhi: PM Modi has alleged that the Congress did not fully enforce the Constitution in India for 75 years and had two flags and two Prime Ministers for the country.

Modi Vs Rahul Gandhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday launched a direct attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, saying that the Congress failed to honour the Constitution for 75 years. He said before the BJP came to power, Rahul Gandhi's family and the Congress did not enforce the Constitution in Jammu & Kashmir. He was speaking at an election rally in Gujarat's Anand.

"Congress's shehzaada (prince) is dancing with a copy of the Constitution on his head. I want to ask him why did he not enforce the Constitution in every part of the country. Before Modi came to power, this country used to have two constitutions, two Prime Ministers, and two flags. Your [Rahul Gandhi's] family did not let us enforce the Constitution in Kashmir... I removed Article 370 and gave the biggest tribute to Sardar [Vallabhbhai Patel]."

PM Modi further took a dig at the Congress, saying that the party couldn't stop Pakistan's terror attacks. "Pakistan's tyre has been punctured. The country that used to export terrorists is running from pillar to post for flour today. Pakistan is left with a begging bowl in its hand. Congress's weak government used to send dossiers to Pakistan after every terror attack... Modi does not waste time on dossiers. We kill the terrorists in their homes," PM Modi said.

Rahul Gandhi's Constitution Push

Rahul Gandhi in his poll rallies has been making the Constitution an election issue. Rahul and other Opposition leaders have been saying that the BJP plans to change the Constitution.

Earlier this week Rahul Gandhi said on social media: "A boon for the poor, respect for the deprived and pride of every citizen – our Constitution! I request all Congress candidates and leaders to keep the sacred Constitution with them during nominations, meetings, speeches and public relations. Announce it in every village and every street that as long as Congress is there, let alone BJP, no power in the world can snatch away the Constitution of India."

RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav, too, was seen carrying a copy of the Constitution at his poll rallies.
