'Are People Of Delhi, Pakistanis?': Arvind Kejriwal Slams Amit Shah Over Delhi Poll Rally Speech

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal slammed Union Home Minister Amit Shah's comment, calling Aam Aadmi Party supporters "Pakistani."

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday slammed Union Home Minister Amit Shah for allegedly calling those who voted for the Aam Aadmi Party “Pakistani”. In an address to the public on X (formerly Twitter), the Delhi Chief Minister asked Shah if “the people of this country who voted for AAP, are Pakistanis too? In his speech, Kejriwal accused Shah of “abusing the people of the country”.

The AAP convener said, “Yesterday, Amit Shah ji came to Delhi and less than 500 people were present in his public meeting. After coming to Delhi, he started abusing the people of the country and said that the supporters of the Aam Aadmi Party are Pakistani.” The Delhi CM then questions the Union Minister, “I want to ask him, the people of Delhi have formed our government by giving us 62 seats with a 56% vote share. Are the people of Delhi Pakistanis? The people of Punjab have given us 92 seats out of 117 seats. Are the people of Punjab Pakistanis?” Kejriwal added, “The people of Gujarat, Goa, Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Madhya Pradesh and in many parts of the country gave us love and trust. Are all the people of this country Pakistanis?”

He further says, “PM Modi has chosen you as his successor. You became so proud of this that you started abusing and threatening people. You have not become PM yet and you have become so arrogant.” He also adds, “Abuse me but not the people of this country. Your enmity is with me, abuse me. If you abuse the people of this country, nobody is going to tolerate that.”

Amit Shah at a poll rally in Delhi on Monday had said that Arvind Kejriwal and Rahul Gandhi had no supporters in India. "They have more supporters in Pakistan," Shah said.

Kejriwal also said that the I.N.D.I.A bloc will win the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. He said, “The Modi government is going away and the INDIA block is going to form a coalition government on June 4."
