Meghalaya Principal Secretary 'Found Dead' In Uzbekistan Hotel Room
Meghalaya Principal Secretary Syed Md A Razi was found dead in a Uzbekistan hotel room.

Meghalaya Principal Secretary Syed Md A Razi was allegedly found dead inside his hotel room during a private trip to Uzbekistan, officials said on Tuesday.
An Indian Railway Traffic Service, Razi was on deputation to the northeastern state since 2021. He was in Bukhara city of Uzbekistan since April 4, as per the officials, and is suspected to have died of a heart attack, as per the officials.
The staff of the hotel where Razi was staying broke open the door of his room after he did not respond to calls in the morning on Monday. The hotel staff found Razi's lifeless body after breaking open the door of his room, reported PTI.

Meghalaya CM Expresses Condolence
Chief Minister Conrad Sangma told PTI that necessary formalities are underway and Razi's wife is en route to Bukhara.

“Deeply pained to hear about the untimely demise of Syed Md A Razi, IRTS, Principal Secretary, GoM," CM Sangma said in an earlier post on X.
“Razi’s incredible efficiency and unwavering dedication were evident in every department he handled, and he always took on each task with a level of ownership that inspired those around him. But beyond his work ethic, Razi was a warm, jolly soul who brought light to everyone he met. He was deeply loved and respected by his peers, and his absence leaves a profound void in all of us,” the Chief Minister added.
